When I learned that trucker hats were originally created and handed out to farmers and truckers from seed companies as a way to promote their products, I knew I wanted to created a seed company line of patches. Paying homage to three different seed companies that have meaning to our family, this line was born. Hartke Farms planted Dekalb silage seed. The original Dekalb sign that was on my grandpa’s garage is still around. Their logo is memorable and iconic so I wanted to have a version of it for Melvin Roy.
