My dad loved red roses and would plant them around our house on the farm. My mom wasn’t as much of a fan due to the thorns, but he sure loved roses. I can remember him giving my mom red roses once a year and on her birthday or Valentine’s Day; but not both.
Their relationship was like those rose bushes; thorny yet beautiful and everlasting.
