One of my favorite pictures of my dad is him driving a case tractor. No sun cover and likely no radio on the tractor, it was fairly basic, but I’m sure it did the job. As teenagers, my cousins and I would be taught to drive stick shift so we could help out on the farm. I have to admit that I fibbed and pretended to not understand how to drive stick shift so that I wouldn’t have to drive a tractor. I much preferred to be around the animals or help in the house cooking. In hindsight, I wish I would have learned how to drive stick shift.
