Besides horses, cows are my favorite farm animal. They have a gentle nature and if you’re lucky they’ll let you pet them. We had cows on our farm. The day that a new herd of cattle were brought to the farm was always an exciting day. When we moved to Sonoma we were excited to find out that we’d have cows and calves in our backyard AND we could them feed veggies and fruit! We’ve nicknamed many of them: Betsy, Mocha, Milkshake, Norm.
